I have pondered such things and, based on the (likely temporary) increase in activity here, I've decided to post an ongoing list of things that I like. I don't care whether anybody else cares. I'm just going to do it.

Entry #1

Usertesting.com and Prolific.co

I earn $100-$300 a month between these sites. It's website UI testing and academic studies. Both sites pay far better than the 2 cents per hour that shitface survey sites pay ($10 per 20 minute test on Usertesting - that's my bread and butter). This provides me money to spend on pimped out shit, as I'm sure I'll outline in future entries.

EDIT: By the way, that's in US dollars. All of this gets paid out to my Paypal, where The Man probably won't find me.

I know this sounds like one of those scammery "HEY, COME DO MY ILLEGIT THING THAT I'M PASSING OFF AS LEGIT CAUSE IT MAKES ME MONEY". I wouldn't do that. This shit's legit. But they all say that, don't they? (Do note: There ain't no referral codes here.)

I like free money.

This thread is great. Please continue to post more things we like. I'll try to do the same.

I like to buy cheap shit for ultra cheap from China. These two transactions are me buying bike parts. $1 each (free ship) but here I'd have paid like 20 bucks for the pair. Only problem is waiting months for thing to arrive. Today I received a random thing I ordered sometime in June. The excitement of receiving a thing you forgot you ordered makes up for the disappointment of ordering, knowing you won't see it for months.

I like eBay and AliExpress.

So I picked up a mechanical keyboard a little while ago. (I'm really behind on this curve.) I like it. Got me some brown switches, which is a really nice feel. Very nice to type with, but not that much noise, and good for playing things. I have my eye on a random $20 cheapie TKL blue switch board on Amazon. Might do it.

Sometimes you just gotta

This became a thing at some point and I have such positive memories of clicky old keyboards in the 80s. Feels nice to type on that shit

Let me see...what were my tasks...

I had to preview some product categories for a printer company (looked like HP) and provide feedback on how well they described the things in that category. It was stupid easy. I had a kind of shitty one where I had to evaluate day trading software for usability. That took a half hour. I only got that one because I lied and claimed that I do online investments, which I do not. I pulled it off though because I mostly told them how their UI sucked (providing specifics, as you risk not getting paid if your feedback is not useful). I got 10 bucks for doing some three minute survey about some god damn thing, I forget what. I didn't care then nor do I care now.

It's a sweet little bonus that I can spend on shit.
